Everything running smoothly

We haven’t really had any reason to update this back blog, since everything has been moving along fine.

So go download instrumentals – and check back here if the site goes down.

Bump em Piano Chords

Posted by: pj1s on: February 12, 2009

Since everything has been running smoothly over on iBeat – we figured we’d bump some of our favourite audio samples.

Music producer DaDeMo contributed some high quality fazioli grand piano samples, and now we’d like to push these as a recommendation.

The free piano chords are available through ibeat via Creative Commons by-nc license. The samples are packaged in zipped files containing numerous fazioli grand piano shots in minor, major and more.

Have fun – and make some great piano music.

Down for update

We are currently down 15 minutes for updates and what not.

See you in 30;)

Running stable

Posted by: pj1s on: September 22, 2008

Although updates haven’t been exploding of our little audio service, we’ve been running everything quite smooth.

We are trying to set up for better form and content, but for now we need to record and post the guitar and bass sessions.

That’s week 43 folks. Perhaps you’d want to sign up for an RSS feed so you don’t miss it.

New Music Producers Joins The Ranks

You can keep up with DaDeMo aka Daniels work here.

Cool, calm and collecting

Posted by: pj1s on: April 15, 2008

We are running all cool and stuff over at the audio sample archive. We are getting ready to add a couple of talented producers, which should bump up the level of activity even more.

On another note, we are always trying to increase the usability for our users, so we made an updating overview of our rap beats. Hip hop beats if you will. We will try to make entry even easier, should our users be looking for something in specific.

In order to do this, we are upping the level of redundancy. Since we use tag based browsing for audio navigation, there is no other (good) way to move foreward, than to accept that hip hop and pop, can  hold some of the same entries. Just like alternative, can be electronic.

Pop by soon, we’ll be releasing the first in the series of monthly sample packs shortly – so one doesn’t need to browse every single entry, and manually download every single file.

In a major note for now. Even though we are still finding corrupted wav files.

We’ll be moving some DNS stuff

We need to make some tweaks to out setup. If we go down – we should be right up again (= short while)

wav troubleshooting and other howto stuff

Posted by: pj1s on: December 12, 2007

The id3 tagger we are using on audio.ibeat.org has had some trouble with riff format files (.wav in our case). We are updating these troughout December. You’ll be able to find and stream and download everything in mp3 format.

We have put up a working version of the old wave audio archive. No streaming or previews available – but overall, it works in the same manner; categorized in Free Shots, Free Loops and Free Sessions.

All the wave files you find that are in zipped packages are working fine. Which is a lot.

Consider this extra info

All the work we do is over on iBeat.org.

We keep this blog as a redundant way of keeping in contact, should anything nasty happen.
